I’m Sarah, a North East dog photographer, Golden Retriever person and someone who knows exactly why the photographs of our dogs become more important with every passing year. I create relaxed, natural photographs that capture their personality rather than expecting them to perform perfectly for the camera.
My own dogs are woven into everyday life, and they are the reason photography became so personal for me in the first place.
I know the strange little expressions, the routines, the walks, the obsession with one particular toy and the way a dog can completely change the feeling of a home.
The best dog photography sessions are not about perfect behaviour. They are about making enough space for your dog to relax and show me who they really are.
I photograph dogs across County Durham, Darlington, Teesside, Newcastle and the wider North East, usually outdoors in places where there is room to walk, sniff, play and settle into the session naturally.
Dogs can stay on lead, and nervous dogs, puppies, older dogs and dogs with selective hearing are all very welcome. I will help you choose a location and plan the session around your dog’s personality, mobility and confidence.
My aim is simple: photographs that make you immediately think, “That is so them.”
