Welcome to Sarah Johnsons North East Pet Photographer website. I am Sarah Johnson, owner of both Sarah Johnson Photography and North East Pet Photographer. 

My pet photography business based in the North East of England near Durham started 7 years ago.

As a dog owner myself, I know how precious our pets are, they are treasured members of our families and deserve to have their own photoshoots too.

I started my photography when I got our dogs, I mean who doesn’t have 1000s of photographs of their dogs and then friends asked for me to take photographs of their dogs, and the rest really is history.

Pet portrait sessions can take place at any location that is special for you, or I am on hand to help and suggest something for you too. 

The main pets that I photograph are dogs, horses and cats. I have been around these animals since I have been little so I am happy and confident we will work together to get the shots you require.

If you are worried about taking your pets off lead, please do not worry. Our first golden retriever Heidi hardly went off the lead as she had very selective hearing so lots of leads and sometimes even her collar was edited out when required too. 

If your dog/ horse does need to be secure for the portrait sessions, I would suggest bringing a leather lead as this will make the editing of this out of your photographs an easier task.
